This course will cover the following: 1) brief explanation of the history of California decanting; 2) general description of decanting; 3) how to decant under the new legislation; 4) what trusts can be decanted; 5) decanting under expanded distributive discretion; 6) decanting under limited distributive discretion; and 7) decanting limitations, -- as well as other
aspects of the new law, including potential litigation aspects.
